The view from our former office in Room 511 once showed a car wash and clear shot down Houston (pronounced HOW-ston) Street. Our quarters in Suite 424 offered a southerly sliver of the Freedom Tower.

Until June 2021, BTD was located in the Cable Building, 611 Broadway, at the corner of Broadway and Houston, where Noho meets Soho. It was a 35+ year love affair with a location.

The Cable Building is an architectural treasure designed by McKim, Mead, and White and built in 1894. The building’s moniker refers to its origin as the headquarters of, and one of the power stations for, Manhattan’s cable car system. It’s now the headquarters of many creative businesses (including the Angelika Theater as well as Hoefler & Co.) and until recently of Crate & Barrel (there’s nothing like an anchor tenant).
