PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Mark Twain: A Skeptic’s Progress
Isaac Gewirtz, Curator of The Berg Collection, needed a catalogue for an exhibit highlighting a century of collecting Mark Twain at The Morgan Libary & Museum and The New York Public Library. The curator also needed support in wrangling all of text and images. We handled a big job all within a small time-frame.
What we did:
- Determined a schedule to coincide with the exhibit opening as closely as possible
- Obtained prices for printing both a source piece for the exhibit opening reception and the catalogue itself
- Acted as a liaison for the curators and the editor
- Oversaw proofreading
- Maintained quality-control throughout the process, including working with the printer, Toppan, USA
- Designed the cover and book; typeset all copy; retouched images
